hello world. it's been awhile.
here's some random updates for you:
- happy (belated) thanksgiving! i have A LOT to be thankful for this year and i cannot show enough appreciation to my family and friends for being the awesome support system that they are.
- man time flies, it's december already. it's my favorite time of the year.. i LOVE everything about the holiday season: the weather, the music, the smells, the events, the shopping (lol), etc.
- i finally started running/training more consistently this week. i'm already a month behind, ugh. i wish running came easy to me.. :(
- i've been pretty good at not spending money as of lately. i haven't shopped for myself (other than grocery shopping) in awhile, i don't go to starbucks every day anymore, and i bring my lunch to work as much as i can. christmas present shopping has been the main exception and my one outlet to spending!
- last night, fab5 got together to pick secret santas. we very rarely get our schedules aligned, so it's always fabulous getting together for dinner. so much has happened since our last dinner including:
- joyce and atlee bought a house!!!!! a 5 bedroom beauty. i can't wait to see it! my bff-since-diapers is SO grown up.
- joyce started a new job at the kaiser clinic in clairemont mesa. this means she works a normal 8-5 job and gets to be home every night and every wkend with allie j and atlee.
- i have a boyfriend! *gasp* this may not be a big deal to anyone else, but i was the ONLY single one of us five. contrary to belief, it's really not fun being the only single girl in a group of hot girl friends. haha.
- donette started a 3pm-3am shift at work. yuck! nurses schedules suck!
- our grandma (elainne) is turning 27 in 12 days! YIKES! (haha!)
- our little one (cecile) has been concentrating on school.
- tonight (and probably tomorrow), the mans and i are going to december nights! i'm excited!
